Time Korea is 9 hours ahead of Greenwich Meant Time (GMT +9) and does not observe daylight savings time.
Climate The climate of Korea is characterized by four distinct seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. The contrast between winter and summer is striking. Summer lasts from June to early September and is a hot and humid time of the year.
Currency and Foreign
The unit of Korean currency is the Korean Won (₩). Coin denominations are ₩10, ₩50, ₩100 and ₩500. Banknotes are ₩1,000, ₩5,000, ₩10,000 and ₩50,000.

Electricity The electricity supply commonly used in Korea is the 220-volt 60Hz system. Because most newly built hotels and houses have the 220-volt wiring installed, you are advised to check your electronic equipment beforehand.

It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa in advance if required.

Upon your request via email, the Secretariat will send a personal invitation letter to participate in the meeting. This invitation is meant only to assist participants to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. Applications for invitation letters must be received at least 30 days prior to the meeting.
